Out at sea and the return,,,
The Black Sails went on a 1 month sea training event. I was to learn the basics of life at sea. This was the introduction to all the new recruits of the Black Sails. They taught us skills from cleaning a ships deck, to how to tie ourselves to the mast! All type of skill to help anyone manage a storm or understand how to use the stars to guide one to the right direction.

This was so much fun! Much more organized than my last “training” event with my Dojo.

Although, the sleeping was not that great. We didn’t have much room, and being the lowest ranking… I got the floor. It was a bit cold.
We got a change to have some fun though, we went diving and swimming! It was a good way to relax the crew from the hard work!
The Sargent took a picture with me. He was very knowledgeable but a rough character. He has a soft heart as he really cared for all of us.

Archer Practice
Out and about practicing some archery this morning. And what a beautiful morning it was! A few guild members and myself ate breakfast outside. We enjoyed scrambled eggs and fried up some fresh ptarmigan in a pan. It was delicious!
The archers guild put me through various training missions and exercises. One member, Silvairre, doesn’t care for me too much. He thinks just because I am a Miqo’te I don’t have nor will I ever have the instincts which have been passed down from generation to generation of Elezen. The others though, Leih Aliapoh (another Miqo’te by the way) and Guildmaster Luciane believe in me.

Our guild hall, called the Quiver’s Hold, is beautiful! It’s nestled in the woods of eastern New Gridania and sits up on some bluffs overlooking a couple ponds.
