“Mina hunny….. I um, wanted to talk to you about something.” Anni’s voice sounds like it has a nervous tone to it.

“Oh?”  Mina sounded confused and curious; she gazes upon Anni, reflecting.

Anni sighs, “Yea….. um…… It’s been a few months since Psyiah left, it’s been a pretty rough road to be honest.  I’ve met some great people along the way who have helped me over the hump.  And I am very grateful for that.  You see….. I um, I started dating recently and that kind of like….. includes the time I have spent reconnecting with you.

“mhm” Mina listens intently, anxious to hear more.

“Well I guess um….” Anni sighs as she gathers her thoughts. “Ever since I met you I’ve always liked you.” Anni speaks and its clear she is nervous, her heart pounds in her chest. “I um…. I’d like to see you more, um….. like a lot more.  I mean if you would uh…. have me….. oh gods, I’m sorry this is too much all at once, I…… I’m sorry.  I’ve probably scared you.

Mina appears shocked at first then smiles. “Oh Anni! I would love that!” Mina leans in to embrace Anni.

“Of…..of course?” Anni lights up. “You….you mean it!?”

“Yes! I’ve… always liked you too… after that one night… well I haven’t really forgotten it…” Mina says shyly.

Anni giggles softly. “Oh gods, I was so nervous to talk to you but….I guess I just wanted to put it out there.  Gods…” Anni catches her breath. “Phew, he he.”

Mina giggles. “Aww, you don’t have to be nervous with me Anni.”

Anni takes Mina’s hands in her own. “My past was wonderful.  Psyiah will always have a piece of my heart but I am ready Mina.  I am ready to begin a new chapter, new adventures and share it all with…. an old friend. You.”

Mina’s heart begins to race a little. “I am glad, Anni…”

“Well, my heart guided me to you. Messaging you the other day, just to reach out to you and say hi.  I had no intentions of all this.  I had no idea this would all happen but it did.  I think there was a higher power at play here, to be honest.”

Mina nods. “I’m really glad you did. I haven’t been this happy and excited in a long, long time.”

Anni leans her forehead onto Mina’s and closes her eyes. “Thank you, Mina, for being my angel.

Mina closes her eyes and then kisses Anni’s nose quickly before Anni opens her eyes.

“Oh!” Anni giggles happily. She opens her eyes and looks into Mina’s eyes. There is a bit of a pause. “I um….I’d like another one of those….” Anni leans in, closes her eyes and presses her lips into Mina’s.

Mina kisses Anni back, pressing firmly into the kiss. Her heart is pounding through every part of her body. Mina brushes some stray hairs from Anni’s face before moving it to Anni’s cheek.

Anni holds the kiss as they share a special moment. She feels calmer now, not as nervous but very excited.  The beautiful kitten in front of her has stolen her heart and rekindled the fire deep inside Anni.  Anni feels at peace again. She feels a healing energy coming from Mina and lets it envelop her.

Mina stops kissing Anni and looks down with a worried look on her face. “Are you sure you want ME, Anni? I … I mean there are so many other wonderful and beautiful Kitties out there that love you….” Mina fidgets with Annimae’s hand.

Anni smiles, thinking Mina’s worry is kinda cute in a way. She puts her curled fingers under Mina’s chin and lifts it up so she can look into Mina’s eyes. “Mina hunny, I can’t tell the future, I don’t know what it holds for me or who will be in it.  There is much I don’t know.  But there is one thing I am 100% certain of. One thing that I know deep in my heart.  And that is my future includes you. It includes you Mina and it includes you in a very VERY big way.

Mina smiles and gives Anni quick, shy kiss on the lips.

Anni returns the soft kiss and smiles at Mina. “I love you Mina.”

“I… I love you too, Anni.”

Anni lets out another sigh, a sigh of happiness and leans her head onto Mina’s shoulder. “Mmm my Mina.”

Mina lays her head on top of Anni’s and also let’s out a sigh of happiness. “My Anni.”
